Get Your Seat to Enjoy 26.2
That is - someone else's 26.2 miles - yep a whole marathon! We're inviting neighbors and friends to walk on down to the course - just head to the lake - to cheer the runners on. Some good spots include:
Lake Drive through Whitefish Bay, Shorewood and Milwaukee (to Kenwood) - be sure to watch for traffic and stay on the east side of the street.
The BEST spots are along Lincoln Memorial Drive south to Lagoon Drive - the runners REALLY need your help here.
Stop by the Bradford Beach House and be part of our "24 Mile Club" or grab a cup of coffee at Alterra on the Lake and cross the street.

Hi Kris,
You've probably already seen this, but I happened across this video this morning, while on the Journal-Sentinal website and thought I'd share it --- just in case you hadn't already seen it!

Brandi :)
Kris,
Brandi's talking about a time lapse of the Marathon route in 6.5 mins. http://bit.ly/ge7c3 Feel Free to link to it on your site.
The fact that you disqualified a runner for "outside assistance" is quite ridiculous to me. If this was a proper race you would have had water bottles set up for the fastest men (and women) anyways so what the lead woman did would have been allowable had she been considered an "elite". I know a large number of runners in the Midwest and all the talk between us this week has been about how we will never run your race.
This is quite sad too because WI is my home state and I hoped to one day run this race. Your actions have caused me to think differently about running this race.
